LA GRAN VÍA CUMPLE 100 AÑOSUn paseo por la Gran Vía nos demuestra su gran oferta comercial en uno de los marcos más impresionantes de la ciudad. Al atardecer y por la noche, la calle y los edificios se iluminan mostrando un gran espectáculo, mientras las luces de neón de escaparates y musicales anuncian un de lo mejor de esta ciudad. En 2010, la Gran Vía cumple su primer siglo de vida. Para celebrarlo, se han organizado numerosas propuestas de ocio y cultura encaminadas a dar a conocer la historia de un proyecto arquitectónico ambicioso y genial que comenzó a ejecutarse a principios del siglo XX y que modernizó la fisonomía de Madrid.

A stroll down the Gran Via shows its great shopping area in one of the most impressive marks in the city. At dusk and at night, the street and the buildings are lit showing a great show while the neon lights of shop windows and musical announce the best of this city. In 2010, the Gran Via celebrates its first century of life. To celebrate, many proposals have been organized leisure and culture aiming to publicize the story of a brilliant and ambitious architectural project which began operation in early twentieth century and modernized the look of Madrid.
